Tomorrow's session

What we need to decide

Ten decisions. Five are Kate's, five are Andrew's. Nothing on the live site changes until these are settled.

WhoDecisionThe question
KateQuestions and answers on property and area pagesWhere do they sit on the page, and do they open and close or stay open? Open is better for AI tools.
KateThe facts block and distances listA simple list, or something more designed? It appears on all 36 property pages.
KateProperty introductionsReplacing the Airbnb text with a short written intro per property. 36 of them, roughly 60 words each.
KateArea pagesA new page per town. Same layout for all, or does Portsmouth get something richer?
KateThe blank partner logo strip on the About pageThe logos are gone from the site. Re-upload them or remove the strip?
AndrewDoes the checkout add a booking fee?It decides whether we can say "no booking fees" anywhere.
AndrewNaming competitors in guidesThe brief recommends it, and it makes the guides credible. Your call.
AndrewWho writes the local knowledgeEach area page needs a paragraph only someone who knows the town can write.
AndrewGoogle Search ConsoleResubmit the sitemap now it works.

What happens after

  • The invisible work continues regardless. Shorter page titles, tidying nine double headings, and the distances data for all 36 properties.
  • Each agreed change is built once and applies everywhere. The facts block, distances and questions are generated from Guesty, so new properties arrive complete and departing ones disappear.
  • The measure is the monthly AI check. First one ran on 15 September: named in 6 answers out of 87. The next runs on 1 October.
  • Expect months, not weeks. Andrew has committed to a year of this.
